Our Story

On^Point Integrative Medicine is a collaborative effort between two like minded physicians. Dr. Greg and Dr. Karen first met in the year 2000, when Dr. Greg became a faculty member at the St. Vincent Family Medicine Residency Program in Erie, PA, where he helped to start the Sports Medicine Fellowship.  Dr. Karen was Chief Resident in her 3rd year of training in the same program.  Over the years, they stayed connected as their careers in medicine took different directions.

Dr. Greg continued to work in Sports Medicine at St. Vincent until 2008, where he transitioned to help establish the Sports Medicine Fellowship and Integrative Medicine Fellowship at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie (LECOM), where he worked from 2008 - 2020.  Dr. Karen went on to establish the non-profit Susquehanna Rural Free Clinic, Inc., serving the primary care needs of the low income uninsured in Clearfield, County, PA, where she practiced for 18 years.

In 2016, Dr. Greg and Dr. Karen were invited on a medical mission trip to the Dominican Republic to provide regenerative medicine treatments to those workers in the sugar cane fields suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain.  They subsequently returned to create medical mission teaching opportunities for students, fellows, nurses, and physicians. The 4 medical mission trips in 2016-2018 that they co-lead served as a foundation for a collaboration that would eventually result in the establishment of their practice of On^Point Integrative Medicine.

In 2020, the COVID 19 pandemic occurred, bringing with it all kinds of changes in health systems and employment. This served as the tipping point for Dr. Karen and Dr. Greg to begin their own practice with the intention to serve patients in an integrative manner.

The stresses in the practice of medicine are real and can have significant impact upon health care professionals.  Dr. Greg and Dr. Karen each have chosen to exit traditional medicine systems and have adopted a different way to serve others for the second half of their careers.

The utilize a coaching approach to support patients in the process of attaining greater health and well-being.  Their unique skill sets provide patients with treatments and interventions not often found in traditional medicine.
